Jason Witten Predicts Former Cowboys Teammate Dez Bryant Will Sign with Packers

When the Dallas Cowboys waived Dez Bryant, the wide receiver was angry. According to Witten, the Packers check all of the boxes for Bryant, who is seeking a one-year deal.

"I think Dez is certainly going to have some great opportunities", Witten said.

He sees the veteran wideout going to Green Bay. "He's motivated and I think he's going to end up going to the Green Bay Packers". Still, despite remaining open to the idea of considering Bryant, the Giants have showed very little interest to date.

"Rodgers, he throws that back-shoulder throw so well and Dez has great chemistry with a good quarterback that can put the ball wherever he wants", said Witten, the new voice of Monday Night Football.

The former Dallas Cowboys tight end predicted former teammate and now unemployed receiver Dez Bryant would sign with the Packers, calling Green Bay a "great fit" for the Cowboys' all-time leader in touchdown catches, but the team isn't expected to pursue him, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Jimmy Graham just joined the Green Bay Packers as a tight end, and the team just released Jordy Nelson in March, opening up a spot for someone like Dez Bryant. "I look for him to go there, and really help them take the next step and get back on a playoff run".

Witten, who noted he doesn't have any inside info on Green Bay, also pinpointed another possible landing spot for Bryant: the Saints.

That being said, the Packers still have Davante Adams and Randall Cobb as their top two receivers.

Former Cowboys tight end turned ESPN analyst, Jason Witten, believes that his former teammate could end up catching passes from Rodgers during the 2018 campaign.

The Packers had some level of interest in Bryant when he was first release but they have signed drafted wide receiver J'Mon Moore in the fourth round, wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling in the fifth round and wide receiver Equanimeous St.

The 29-year old Bryant was released by the Cowboys in mid-April following a 69-reception, 838-yard season.
