Assassin's Creed Odyssey reportedly has dialogue choices

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey leaks: is this the sequel to Origins?

Leaked image indicates Assassin's Creed: Odyssey will be set in ancient Greece

Following the leak, Ubisoft was quick to confirm that Assassin's Creed Odyssey was real, and will be at E3 this year. In the trailer, one character kicks another off a cliff in a lovely setting that looks to be placed on the Mediterranean. That changed this year, with very little being said about the next game in the series.

The curious thing here, of course, is that the timing of this announcement seems to hint at a return to annualisation for Assassin's Creed.

With this not-so-subtle hints it looks nearly certain that Assassin's Creed Odyssey will take players to Ancient Greece, where 300 also took place. It appears Zeus has heard my desires.

"President Trump will meet with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan on June 7th here at the White House ", she said. Kim Yong Chol is a veteran of diplomacy with South Korea who is considered to be Kim Jong Un's right-hand man.

The previous game in the series, Assassin's Creed Origins, took the story back to its beginnings in ancient Egypt. Odyssey will probably take place after Origins in the timeline but before numerous other games.

The report originates from French site JeuxVideoLive, and is confirmed by Kotaku.

Adding weight to the leak are photos of seemingly official merchandise sent to Kotaku, showing an Assassin's Creed Odyssey keychain with a Greek helmet attached. Ubisoft has not responded to requests for comments. Even more so than Origins. While Origins altered the combat, Odyssey will introduce dialogue options, a first for the series. If this is true, it means the series is going back to an annual schedule. It'll be interesting to see what Ubisoft does with an Assassin's Creed game set in ancient Greece, as it's been an enduring setting across pretty much all forms of entertainment.

As with all rumors, take this with the proverbial grain of salt.

Last year's Assassin's Creed: Origins was a surprise hit for Ubisoft.

The clip is incredibly short and features one guy punting another guy off a cliff in the style of King Leonidas in the movie 300.
