Weeks after being certified at the FCC, the upcoming BlackBerry flagship is all set for an unveiling in NY followed by a launch event in China bringing us closer to the possibility of seeing the successor of BlackBerry KEYone in India soon. This phone will be the successor of last year's KEYone.
The Blackberry Key2 was supposed to first be introduced to the world on June 7, however a well-known industry leaker has tweeted some very revealing press images.

Before the event, Evan Blass has published images and the specifications of the upcoming model confirming one of its main features, a physical QWERTY keyboard that made the brand famous, backlighting for use in dark places, 35-key touch screen, and built-in fingerprint reader. The phone is said to arrive with a physical keyboard, dual camera on the back and texture back. On the front, you'll find an 8-megapixel camera that can record video in 1080p.
The teaser labelled "An Icon Reborn" showed that BlackBerry KEY2 like any other high-end device from the company will come with a grip-friendly frosted Black panel at the rear-end. Additionally, the BlackBerry logo has been stamped on the back along with a dual camera setup. For reference, the KEYOne sported a 4.5-inch scratch resistant full HD display (1080 x 1620 pixels) resolution and came with Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. We will have to wait till the official announcement to know more. Android Oreo is the software that the Blackberry key2 will come bundled with. Under the hood, the device will be powered by Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor bundled with 6GB of RAM. On the top, the smartphone can have a 3.5 mm audio jack, while on the bottom there is a USB Type-C port.

According to the firm, apps will launch up to 60% faster on an iPhone 6 Plus, a device that launched four years ago in 2014. In addition, there will be an Apple News app (currently available in iOS 11) and a refreshed App Store with video previews.
