President Donald Trump on Sunday (June 24) called for the United States to deport people without judicial proceedings, referred to an invasion by "these people" and railed against standing immigration laws.

Trump's strongest supporters are more favorable than other groups toward the family separation policy and punishment for illegal entrants to the US, as well as more suspicious that would-be immigrants might be criminals, and more skeptical that reports from detention centers are accurate, according to a CBS News poll released today. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., said Sunday.

Still, Trump has rejected calls for additional immigration judges at the border, instead calling for strong security and a border wall. Nor did the administration have plans to begin reuniting families already separated.

Despite steps by lawmakers from both the Republican and Democratic parties, the Congress has been unable to lift the country-limit. "This is an issue about what is right and what is wrong", Castro said. Intense criticism of the policy caused Trump to sign an executive order last week to end the separation of families.
