Charlotte Rae - the actress who played the beloved Mrs. Garrett in "Diff'rent Strokes" and "The Facts of Life" - has reportedly died, according to TMZ. She disclosed previous year that she was battling bone cancer.

In her role, Rae played the house mother at the Eastland School for Girls on The Facts of Life, in a role that earned her an Emmy nomination in 1982.
