Yep, your first week will give you games like Super Mario Bros.

Another surprise announcement from tonight's Nintendo Direct is that Animal Crossing's mascot Isabelle will be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. This week it emerged Nintendo Switch requires a weekly online check-in to play NES games, and cloud saves are deleted if your subscription expires. Animal Crossing will in fact be getting a new title next year, though the exact date is yet to be revealed. However, we imagine it's representative of what the actual game will look like.

The first Animal Crossing game was originally for the Nintendo 64 in Japan, but was later ported to the GameCube for an worldwide release.

The game involves players inhabiting a village with anthropomorphic animals, performing a range of tasks and activities including collecting things, socializing and spending in-game currency. There's even great third-party games, like Octopath Traveler and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. It will be launching exclusively for the Nintendo Switch sometime in 2019.

It'll be available on Switch starting on January 11th, 2019.
