Vote.org, the website she linked to, reported almost as many new Tennessee registrants in the 36 hours after the singer's post as in the entire month of September, and more than double the number from August.

For context, in the entire month of August, only 56,669 people registered to vote.

Music superstar Taylor Swift posted on her Instagram an endorsement for U.S. Senate democratic candidate Phil Bredesen Sunday.

Guthrie said: "We are up to 65,000 registrations in a single 24-hour period since T. Swift's post". But as BuzzFeed outlines, the first few lyrics of the song are as follows: "I never trust a narcissist, but they love me / So I play 'em like a violin / And I make it look oh so easy".

Swift continued, "These are not MY Tennessee values".

By now, you probably know that over the weekend, world-renowned megacelebrity Taylor Swift broke her legendary silence on anything even remotely political.

The president said Monday that he likes Swift's music "about 25 percent less" since she spoke out against Republican Senate candidate Marsha Blackburn in her social media post, according to Fox News.

In Tennessee, voter registration for October has already outstripped September registration figures.

In a separate statement, Vote.org acknowledged there were several factors that could have contributed to the surge.

Another famous critic was Mike Huckabee, who took a dig at Swift by suggesting her fans were a bunch of 13-year-old girls, years away from the voting age. "But people would still rather believe that she is the one who is pushing Trump's agenda".

That fantasy came crashing down on Tuesday, however, when Swift announced her support for equal rights and opposition to "systemic racism".

"Let's just say I like Taylor's music about 25 percent less now, OK?", he told reporters. In October alone, the site has reported registering 5,183 in the state.

Air India said in a statement shared on social media that both the captain and co-pilot have been grounded, pending investigation. Air India Express sources told DC that all the Dubai-bound passengers were sent to their destination by an alternative aircraft.

"This is leaps and bounds beyond what we typically see", she said.

Swift's previous unwillingness to weigh in on political matters led some members of the alt-right movement to claim her as one of their own, a phenomenon that her representatives have rejected.

Swift wrote that the Tennessee Republican's voting record "appalls and terrifies" her, noting that Blackburn opposes reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act and supports businesses that decline to serve gay couples due to their religious views.

"Thank God for Taylor Swift", Kamari added. "I will be voting for Phil Bredesen for Senate and Jim Cooper for House of Representatives". (Swift appears to be referencing the sexual assault trial in which a local radio DJ was convicted of groping her at a meet-and-greet event).

Trump also reacted to Swift's decision to smear Blackburn, defending the Republican candidates as a "tremendous woman".

"Of course I support women and I want violence to end against women", she said.
