Manny Machado, Los Angeles Dodgers, fined for Jesus Aguilar, Milwaukee Brewers incident

The Brewers have one of the best bullpens in baseball, but it's the rotation that has produced unexpected heroes

4 questionable Manny Machado plays from his career

In the 10th inning, Dodgers shortstop Manny Machado allowed his left leg to clip the lower right leg of Brewers first baseman Jesús Aguilar at first base while getting thrown out on a routine play.

The Athletic first reported that Machado was fined. The way he dragged his foot made it obvious it was intentional, and he was fortunate to not have injured Aguilar.

But Yelich and Travis Shaw, who called it "a pretty dirty play" and "not a mistake", responded with pointed criticism towards Machado.

The two exchanged word but nothing more came of the event, however. Repeated over and over and over again, you're just a dirty player.

Shanghai Masters: Federer beaten, Djokovic faces Coric in final
Anderson had a chance to take an early lead against Djokovic but he overhit a forehand on set point in the 12th game of the match. The other semi-final tees up Novak Djokovic against young German star Alexander Zverev , just the second time they will have met.

With a pivotal Game 5 coming up this afternoon, the Dodgers will need Machado to continue his recent production.

"He's a player that has a history of those types of incidents", Milwaukee slugger Christian Yelich said.

"I was trying to get over him and hit his foot", Machado said. "I don't know, call it what you want". In the 13th inning Tuesday night, he singled with one out, advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored the winning run on Cody Bellinger's walk-off single, just beating the tag at home plate.

Of course, if Machado were having a bad postseason, it would be easier to make all of the criticism stick, but he leads all postseason hitters with nine RBIs and is tied with three other players for the home run lead (three).

China is 'a bigger problem' than Russian Federation meddling in USA elections
Trump declined to say whether he will fire Attorney General Jeff Sessions, saying only that "we'll see what happens come midterms".

"We are family. We go back to the minor leagues", Machado said in another postgame interview. "Everything that happens on the field stays on the field". You can say it wasn't on objective, this and that, but it's a dirty play. Machado had 37 homers and 107 RBIs in the regular season, and he batted.242 with three homers and nine RBIs in the first eight games of the postseason.

No one was as outspoken about Machado after the game as Yelich as he answered questions from reporters about the play.

The Dodgers' 2-1 win in Game 4 evened the series, ensuring the Dodgers and Brewers will play at least two more games against each other.
