President Donald Trump tonight tweeted out a video of comments former President Barack Obama made about immigration back when he was a senator.

On Twitter, President Trump said, "I agree with President Obama 100%!" and posted a video of Obama speaking his mind on illegal immigration. Obama giving a speech in 2005 that contained some tough-sounding talk on immigration.

'We simply can not allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently and lawfully to become immigrants in this country'.

"We are a generous and welcoming people here in the United States", Obama says in the 31-second clip.

Campaigning for Nevada Senate candidate Jacky Rosen, Obama told the crowd to "remember who started" the trends of economic growth and job creation his successor is touting.

However, Trump pointed out that his push for strict border enforcement is very similar to things that famous Democrats have said.

But years ago, he wasn't such a friend of border jumpers himself: "First, illegal immigration is wrong. and a primary goal of comprehensive immigration reform must be to dramatically curtail future illegal immigration". "We have Strong Borders and will never accept people coming into our Country illegally!" It's totally possible that Trump's comment was meant to be tongue-in-cheek, but still - it's not every day that you see Trump say he's on the same page with Obama on anything. Look at what they're saying they're going to do if you send it back for two more.

Obama is the latest in a string of national surrogates who have visited Nevada in the 2018 midterm cycle and Democrats are hoping some Hollywood star power will invigorate their base.

Said President Bill Clinton during his State of the Union addres in 1995, "It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws we have seen in recent years, and we must do more to stop it".

"Here's just one simple fact". The problem is not just with amnesty but with the structure of our legal-immigration system.
