Federal Bureau of Investigation asked to probe 'false claims' against Robert Mueller

Multiple reporters were contacted over the past few weeks about a woman who was willing to say she was sexually assaulted by Mueller, the special counsel who is probing possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation.

That person, according to the account, asks her to establish contact over an encrypted messaging application and then, in exchange for tens of thousands of dollars, to make false but potentially politically damaging misconduct claims against Mueller.

Taub said the email struck her as weird and suspicious, and she immediately forwarded it to the special counsel's office.

Carr's statement came on the same day that a conservative radio and podcast host known for promoting conspiracy theories, Jack Burkman, announced plans to "unveil the first of the sex assault victims of Robert Mueller" on Thursday.

Carabao Cup: Arsenal to host Spurs in quarter-finals
Arsenal and Spurs will meet twice at the Emirates in little over a fortnight as the teams also play in the Premier League on 2 December.

Burkman has a long history of promoting conspiracy theories, like claiming government agents killed Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich.

The plot appeared to be the latest, and one of the more freakish, in a string of attempts by supporters of President Donald Trump to discredit Mueller's investigation as a hoax and a witch hunt.

The email said a man claiming to work for Surefire Intelligence made the offer and said his company had been hired by Jack Burkman. In the video, Burkman said the "first" alleged accuser is "coming out this Thursday at high noon".

"I didn't see Robert Mueller very much when I worked at Pillsbury, but when I did see him, he was always very polite to me, and was never inappropriate", she said. This salacious rumor was short-lived: Within hours, numerous journalists were able to connect a false sexual-misconduct tip they'd received about Mueller to Wohl and his associates. Reporters only began publicly hinting at the existence of the email after Burkman and Wohl previewed earlier this week a "sad" and "scandalous" story coming out about Mueller.

Cardi B and Nicki Minaj call a truce in their ongoing feud
Yeah I had to decline it because I'm doing a lot of pop records so I can't over exaggerate myself but that came to me first. But I'm sick and exhausted of that back and forth s***.

A second woman has come forward saying she was offered money to talk about "encounters" she's had with Robert Mueller, in an apparent bid to discredit the US special counsel charged with investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election.

She identified herself to at least two news media outlets who received her email as Lorraine D. Parsons of Fort Myers, Florida, but The New York Times could not find her. An Internet registry record associated with the "agency" listed the email of Jacob Wohl, a writer for the conservative website Gateway Pundit; a phone number listed in connection with it belongs to Wohl's mother, NBC News reported.

Surefire Intelligence was incorporated in DE less than three weeks ago, according to online records, and describes itself as "a private intel agency that designs and executes bespoke solutions for businesses and individuals who face complex business and litigation challenges".

"I have a signed dossier from her", Burkman claimed.
