Florida Teenager Charged With Strangling, Burying Mother

An argument over a bad grade pushed a Florida teen "sociopath" to kill his mother, hide her body, then stage a burglary at his home, police said.

Porras' Orlando attorney, Kendall Ali, argued that Porras has no criminal history, had a good home and a good family to support him.

He also reported his mother missing and said there was a van with the engine running sitting in his driveway. The boy then went to school Friday morning and came home to report his mother as missing to police and their home ransacked by unknown intruders. After disposing of the wheelbarrow outside of town, Chitwood said Ramos enlisted the help of two of his friends, both 17, to help him dispose of the body and stage a burglary.

In this Reuters News video, Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood says a 15-year-old boy confessed to strangling his mother to death and shares some detail of the boys actions. "I have a feeling this is a case we'll be hearing about for years to come", Chitwood said. So he went back to strangle her again.

And within the next three episodes, the remaining survivors will finally come into contact with the dreaded Whisperers. After nine seasons, Rick Grimes has been through an unimaginable amount of obstacles.

The boy faces murder charges, Sheriff Chitwood said.

After killing her, authorities say Ramos called two school friends, who allegedly helped him bury his mom, Gail Cleavenger, in a fire pit near a church. The items were found in the woods by the pit, at a local gym and at Ceglarek's home, Chitwood said.

"No sign of remorse whatsoever", Chitwood told reporters Saturday. He called the suspect a "soulless individual", and probably one of the "top three sociopaths" he ever crossed paths with.

He described the boy as appearing "very proud of what he did" during his re-telling of the events.

At first he drove to Daytona's Holly Hill area to dump her corpse but headed back to find a shovel before heading to the church.

Though the boy said he wanted to be a homicide detective one day, Pagliari said: "At the end of the day, I'm standing here, and he's where he belongs".

"The deputies and detectives who worked through the night and into the morning gave this case absolutely everything they had, and I hope the family knows that Gail has all of us fighting for justice for her", Chitwood said.
