"Respect to Fury for sticking to his game plan and to Wilder for closing the gap with two huge knockdowns!"

Fury meanwhile insisted he had done enough to win.

In the end, it wound up a split draw.

With just two minutes left in the fight, Wilder buckled Fury's knees with a right hand and knocked him senseless with a ideal left on the way down. Phil Edwards scored it a 113-113 draw, as did The Post. I thought I won the fight. We poured our hearts out.

"It is no secret I have been trying to fight Joshua".

While The Shining star took the Lakers' latest defeat well, he is not always so easy going when it comes to his team being beaten. The Dallas Mavericks traveled to Los Angeles to face the Lakers on Friday evening riding a three-game winning streak.

Wilder (40-0-1) floored Fury (27-0-1) in the ninth and 12th rounds, yet Fury clearly outboxed Wilder for large portions of the remainder of their entertaining showdown.

"This Wilder-Fury judging takes me back to my first fight with Evander Holyfield", he said on Twitter.

He scored two knockdowns of Fury, including a brutal and dramatic one with a right hand in the final round where it appeared Fury may not beat referee Jack Reiss' count.

The bid was approved by UNESCO's committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage at a meeting in Mauritius. The two Koreas, which fought a war from 1950 to 1953 that ended in a ceasefire, technically remain in a state of war.

"We gave each other all we've got", Wilder said. Wilder struggled to land a punch as Fury's constant movement kept the champion off balance.

As several former heavyweights had predicted beforehand, the longer the fight went on, the more Fury looked in control. Fury would try to steal rounds with late flurries and then raising his hands in triumph as the bell sounded. When you get two warriors you get a great fight.

Fury recovered well however and regained his composure to resume where he had left off.

As the fight entered the final round, neither fighter could be certain he was winning.

Fury did his best to try to goad Wilder, shouting and gesticulating at his American opponent, who donned a mask and refused to react to the challenger's antics. And Fury undoubtedly will go home proud that he traveled away from home and hung with one of the game's most powerful punchers.
