Small-market GMs frustrated with LeBron James comments

LeBron's triple-double helps Lakers topple Pelicans

That may have been a great quote for reporters, but it absolutely infuriated many around the league.

New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis put together an excellent performance against the Milwaukee Bucks earlier this week and did so while dealing with several vomiting spells throughout the game.

National Basketball Association superstar LeBron James offered a scathing take on NFL team owners on the latest episode of his HBO show "The Shop" on Friday, saying the gridiron league is run by "old white men" with a "slave mentality".

But James had Davis on his mind after seeing ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski laying out the Lakers' trade priorities in a segment that aired on Tuesday's SportsCenter.

LeBron James is just as much a businessman as he is a basketball player.

The final numbers were 217-185 and many have said that the enthusiasm was greater than they have ever seen before. The bill is considered dead on arrival in the Senate, where the margin of Republicans to Democrats is now 51-49.

Davis isn't slated to become a free agent until following the 2019-20 season but he recently switched agents and now retains Rick Paul of Klutch Sports, the same agent who represents James.

LeBron James' recent comments about how it would be "amazing" to play with New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis have upset general managers around the National Basketball Association, according to an ESPN report.

"When that time comes, of course we will see", Davis told ESPN. Davis is one of the best players in the National Basketball Association right now.

Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry has adamantly stated during media availability that the team won't trade Davis "under any circumstance".

"We're not trading him", Gentry said.

3rd Canadian detained in China, Global Affairs says
Following the incident, National Defence officials reportedly had "contact with the Chinese Air Force operating" in the region. Global Affairs Canada has said John McCallum, Canada's ambassador to China, met with Kovrig on Friday and Spavor on Sunday.

New Orleans (15-18) had cut L.A.'s lead to three with seven minutes left when James posted up point guard Jrue Holiday, drawing the defense's attention before kicking out to Kyle Kuzma, who hit a 3-pointer en route to a team-high 23 points. That Davis wants to play for a contender and that there are two clubs mainly in the running for the 25-year-old as of now - the Lakers and the Celtics.

Not to mention, Davis has financial incentive to stay with the Pelicans.

Among the other teams that would be interested in acquiring Davis are none other than the Boston Celtics.

It only makes sense that James - one of the best to ever play the game - would want to team up with Davis.

For LeBron James, the fundamental difference between the National Basketball Association and the NFL is the level of respect shown players by the respective leagues and their team owners.
