Tiger Woods has pulled out of the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Florida due to a neck strain.

"I've been receiving treatment, but it hasn't improved enough to play", Woods said on a Twitter post.

He says his lower back is fine and he has no concerns over the long run.

Trump ejects India from $5.6bn tariff deal over 'negative' trade barriers
The US will also end preferential trade treatment for Turkey , on the basis that it no longer qualifies for the scheme. The preferential treatment brought India an annual "actual benefit" of just $190 million, he told reporters.

Woods added that he would send his regrets for missing one of his favorite tournaments, at Bay Hill Club & Lodge, to Palmer's family. "It's connection to Arnold makes it one of my favourite tournaments and I'm disappointed to miss it".

Woods last month finished tied for 10th at his previous tournament, the WGC-Mexico Championship.

He hopes to play in next week's Players' Championship at Sawgrass. Woods finished tied for second at the Valspar past year, and it seems as if he would come back if he could.

Tiger Woods last played in the World Golf Championships-Mexico Championship on February 24 in Mexico City. The black tape, used by Tom Brady when he cut his hand before Super Bowl LII previous year, created a buzz in the golf world when it appeared on the nape of Woods's neck, with the company's chief marketing officer telling Golf.com last summer that the tape's primary function was to give Woods "drug-free pain relief and support".

There are a lot of questions here - most best saved for another day - but it is worth questioning why Woods played at Riviera and Mexico if he had the strain.

Since Wilson-Raybould's testimony, opposition parties have called for Wernick, who is supposed to be non-partisan, to be fired. Butts' testimony is expected to contradict Wilson-Raybould's version of events, in some detail.

This withdrawal is unexpected and the first injury blip we've seen from Woods since he returned to regularly playing the PGA Tour at the beginning of 2018. And given the 14-time major champions" plethora of back ailments, fans could be forgiven for thinking that "this is it' all over again.
