The major reason he'll be traded soon is the nagging $2.5 million roster bonus due on March 17.

Brown has spent the last nine seasons in Pittsburgh reaching the Pro Bowl seven times.

The Steelers' asking price started as a first-round pick and other compensation but has been reduced to a first-round pick, sources have told ESPN.

The Cleveland Browns have released veteran linebacker Jamie Collins, according to an official team announcement. The embattled wideout remains one of the best receivers in the game, but his numbers could easily dip with a new team.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport has indicated that the Steelers will have plenty of offers on the table for Brown before that deadline. The Steelers seem ready to move on from the 30-year-old by March 13 when players can officially be traded. It's unknown what Pittsburgh is hoping to fetch in return for the receiver but it's probably safe to assume that team wants a high-round draft pick.
