The New Orleans Saints announced Wednesday, March 13 that they have agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent running back Latavius Murray on a four-year contract. Thomas made $10 million a year on his previous contract with Seattle, a four-year, $40 million deal he signed in the spring of 2014.
Thomas' 2018 season ended on September 30 when he broke his left leg.
A first-round pick in 2010, Thomas was part of Seahawks defenses that led the National Football League in scoring defense for four straight seasons from 2012 to 2015, a feat never before accomplished during the Super Bowl era.

Thomas makes the Ravens' already stacked secondary better, but is that group good enough to cover a linebacking corps that suddenly lacks star power? He rushed for 578 yards and six touchdowns on 140 carries for the Vikings in 2018-19. He is reportedly looking for a multi-year deal that will pay him at least $14 million per season.

Ingram couldn't have landed in a much better spot for a running back than Baltimore.
Ingram run with a similar style as Edwards and Dixon, who remain under contract for 2019.
The Ravens had never even been connected to Thomas, the 29-year-old former member of the Seattle Seahawks who was the creme of a very deep safety crop, during the walk up to free agency. The $51 million in guaranteed money is $16.6 million more than an inside linebacker had received previously. "We'll miss him, but many of us will always consider him a Raven".
