More than 100 people from different religious backgrounds met up at the Islamic Center of Grand Junction, to honor those who died in the attacks in New Zealand.
A two-minute silence was observed across the state on Friday, as thousands formed a human chain around a mosque in Wellington as a symbolic act of protection of the Muslim community during "Jumu'ah" or the Friday Prayer.
Guterres first spoke at Friday prayers in the mosque at the Islamic Cultural Center of NY and then addressed the media at its school.
